Memories of John Jackson A few weeks ago (May 2013) John Jackson's daughter, Judy
Bartlein, called to say she had John's white Husky dog and blanket table
decoration from the 25th Reunion along with photos and a NHJHS book cover she
wanted to share with the Class.John died in a tragic auto accident in the 1980s not too long after our 25th Reunion in 1978. He had been an executive with the Hallmark
Card Co.
John, along with others, had been a driving force behind our 25th Reunion. John's
warm hand written note on my Reunion announcement made the decision to attend the
first Reunion easy. I learned later that
John had written scores of these personal notes. It is quite prefect that John will share this Reunion with us.John’s Husky dog will be at the our
Reunion Brunch. I
remember John as a friend, Student Leader, Scholar and Athlete. He was a Varsity Letterman, and was selected for membership in the Ephebian Society.
Ephebians are selected
for membership by the Faculty and Senior Class on the basis of outstanding
character, leadership ability, demonstrated service, and high scholastic
achievement. DH http://www.ephebian.com
